Introducing Borne and his Cartoons
From July 2, 1907 to August 8, 1928, Willis “Billy” Borne worked as the cartoonist for the
Asheville Citizen
newspaper.
Averaging over 280 cartoons a year, Borne composed over 6,000 cartoons in the course of his career.
